Who We Are

The Inspiration Behind 

When our founder established Sylsea Resource Services Inc. in 2022, it was after a couple of hard years of COVID-19; she had some adults in care who were used to a routine and going to a day program. Of course, this wasn't an option during the pandemic. So rather than having them stuck in the house all day bored, she decided to start a hobby farm, and Sylsea Farms was born. This allowed the adults in her care to learn valuable life skills, what it meant to work with different animals and what it meant to have a job that relied on them. They learned invaluable daily skills and started to gain a work ethic and understanding of what may be expected of them outside their home. She also had a soap business, Clarity Body Care, which allowed them to learn job skills in a different area. They started going to markets, helping to sell to customers, speaking to other people and socializing as much as they were comfortable with. Seeing how they thrived and the changes this brought forth in them, she was inspired to do more. 

So Sylsea Resources was born.

At Sylsea Resources, our participants are at the heart of what we do. They motivate us to develop new, exciting programs that immerse them in unique life experiences and help them forge lasting bonds with one another. We strive to teach them invaluable life skills that allow them the opportunity to gain a confidence and knowledge to go out and achieve what ever they put their minds too!
